Evolution by Christopher Soprano

Spaghetti by Christopher Soprano
Free Pamphlet Publishing is happy introduce to you to the work of New Jersey artist, Christopher Soprano. Here is what Christopher tells us about his work: “(My) art is born out of his instinctive desire to create. As a young child I would make many of my own toys from household objects. It is this ingenuity that is the foundation of my work today.”
With imagery from his childhood, Christopher builds visual analogies that are part of his symbolic language. Familiar subjects become guideposts to ambiguous circumstances. While revealing clues to their story, the compositions often possess contradictory themes for different audiences. Through this array of interpretations, Christopher hopes to answer questions about himself; these are woven into the themes of each piece.

The characters were out in force this weekend, as dancers of every hue and stripe showed off their fancy footwork at New York Dance Parade 2009.
Here, my trusty iPhone captures a very animated unicyclist/dancer, who in pink unitard lead the parade.

The infamous punk rock venue has long since vanished from the gritty Bowery. Its cryptic CBGB and OMFUG awning now resides safely within the confines of the new Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Mercer Street in New York City.
While photography is banned from the exhibit confines (the museum is hosting a very enjoyable John Lennon show which we will cover separately), however, I was able to snap this iPhone pic of this sticker-laden pisser, which sits just outside the museum’s much more hygienic facilities. Note: School of Rock sticker strategically placed as target.
